To be human is to be needy. Our physical life is dependent on forces ultimately outside of our control, and we are especially dependent on the help of another if we are ever to live the way we were created. Yet we hate admitting it. In this Psalm, we’ll see the way to admit our need and get real help is to praise God and ask what we want.
