Worshipping Together in One Location
Starting Sunday June 13, Citylight Manayunk will gather all-together again at Mishkan Shalom synagogue in Manayunk, instead of meeting in both Manayunk and Plymouth Meeting. For the first time in over a year we’ll worship all together under one roof.
Where We Have Been
Throughout the pandemic, when our ability to gather for worship was significantly curtailed by the city of Philadelphia, the building in Plymouth Meeting provided a place for hundreds of people to gather in-person to worship the Lord and enjoy fellowship with one another. The building became a place where Citylight members and attendees from all over the suburbs could gather for worship. What a gift!
Where We Are Going
Now the time has come for us to gather together again in one location to grow and strengthen for the gospel we work the Pastors of Citylight believe the Lord is calling us to.
Why is worshipping together in one location the best decision for Citylight Manayunk?
- God’s people are meant to worship together. We believe that greater unity is critical to this next season of our life together as a church.
- God’s people are meant to be sent out on mission together. Sunday gatherings bring the whole church together in one place for our one shared mission of making disciples. Our gathering together again helps push back the darkness.
- God’s people are meant to serve together. Gathering in one building will allow us to consolidate and expand our Sunday teams, increasing our ability to serve one another. Gathering in one building will provide the opportunity for our kids to learn about the glory of God in an age-appropriate way no matter which service you attend. Gathering in one building will strengthen our music team as they lead us in worship each week. Finally, gathering in one building will allow the pastors to be present with you before, during, and after our gatherings.
Join Us
Plan to join us on June 13th. We’ll worship all together under one roof for the first time in over a year and celebrate with a congregation-wide picnic after the 10:30AM gathering.
